Talk SMS Email Notes 2.6.2

This application provides functionalities such as extracting daily text information from the camera, sending emails, dispatching SMS messages, and exporting notes to iCloud Drive.

To initiate, open the app and tap the + button located at the top right corner. By performing a long press on the text view and selecting the live text option, users can insert text information captured from the camera. The retrieved text appears within the text view for review.

Users can then choose to send this text as an SMS by tapping the SMS button or as an email through the email button. The app also features a speech output function; tapping the talk button will verbally read the text if it is in English. For texts in other languages, users can select their preferred language by tapping the icon at the bottom right corner, with support for languages including French, Chinese, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Japanese, and Korean.

This application logs each note with a timestamp when the save button is pressed, storing this data within the core data system. Saved notes can then be exported either as files to iCloud Drive or other applications by specifying a filename or copied directly to the clipboard for pasting into other programs.

From the main interface, users can tap the export button on the toolbar and choose 'Export to remote files' to save and send notes to iCloud Drive or other compatible apps. Alternatively, selecting 'Export to pasteboard' copies notes to the clipboard for pasting elsewhere.

In the main view, tapping the right-side button within a table cell toggles its selection state. If no cells are selected, activating the talk function will vocalize all notes; selecting specific cells causes only those notes to be read aloud. Similarly, invoking the export feature without selection will process all notes, while choosing specific cells limits the operation to those entries.

When attempting to send notes via SMS or Email without any selection, the app prompts users to select at least one note. When multiple cells are selected, only their respective notes are included in the message content.

Sent email notes appear in the Sent folder within the Mail app on iOS devices. Correspondingly, SMS messages sent via this app are visible in the Messages app.

The SMS function is compatible only with devices capable of sending messages (e.g., iPhone and certain iPads). To use email sending features, ensure that a default Mail application is configured; otherwise, these buttons will be inactive.

Each note displayed in the main view includes a timestamp on a separate line, indicating when it was captured from the camera or entered via keyboard.

Tapping directly on a table cell opens a detailed view of that note. Within this detailed interface, users can edit or input text freely through a soft keyboard. In recent versions, long-pressing in this view reveals a live text scan feature that captures text directly from the camera in real-time. Live Text supports several languages including English, French, Chinese, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Japanese, and Korean; however, some older iPhone models may not support this feature.

This version introduces a novel capability: conversing with stored text notes during an incoming phone call. Supported on devices running iOS 13.0 or later—after accepting an incoming call—users can tap the talk buttons within either the main list or individual note views. This allows audio streaming of selected notes to another phone during a call, enabling both parties to listen simultaneously at normal speed.
